If some dog has done PR-work for our breed more than "Juri", I liked to know who is it! Thanks to Riitta and Matti my kennel has got so much positive advertisement that I never can thank them enough. I guess, it´s not possible to get a puppy buyer more active and competent than they have been… and we have to remember that they were also the pioneers, the first ones who had the courage to train a shortlegged SV to agility and go with him to the competitionfields. For those, who came after it was a lot easier-- Juri had opened the way for them and showed what SV:s can do! When Juri still was here as a puppy, we always laughed at him… he was really fat and always the first one whenever Busy was offering food… Actually, we called him "Lazy Late" and "Potbelly" and were wondering, if he ever gets on to his feet because his belly was so full all the time that he even couldn´t walk like the other puppies did. Well, we were totally wrong! Juri is:
Once Juri went to the Obedience competition, too. Result was first prize in the beginners class… Quite a dog, isn´t he! Or should I say, quite a dog owners, aren´t they! I guess, to get results like this we need excellent quality at both ends of the leash. |

Now Juri has left the competition fields but we will always remember him as the first pioneer who showed those who came after that a Swedish Vallhund can compete successfully against any other breed. Rest in peace Juri! |
